My current art practice comes out a persona that often exceeds the category of work. These excesses become creative material: I keep binders of all the envelopes that she receives money in, I take Polaroid photos of the trash can after her sessions, and I archive her face with makeup remover wipe “prints.” I find this other body in my body fascinating: a hyper-sexualized and -racialized performance, a site for fantasy and projection.
